NON-LETHAL FORCE ON FORCE TRAINING

First Aid

At CFC we understand that the threats we face in today’s world are complex and ever changing. A firearm isn’t the only answer during a critical incident, and oftentimes a firearm isn’t an answer at all. If you can take a life, you should be able to save a life.

What do you do after shots have been fired? What if you can’t get to the shooter? What happens if you walk in on the aftermath of a mass casualty event? What do you do if there is no shooter and you've just witnessed a motor vehicle accident with critical injuries?

This course is designed to provide you with answers to those types of questions and give you the basic skills necessary to save a life and act as your own first responder. The skills learned in this course are applicable during nearly any critical incident where injuries have or are likely to occur. These are essential, easy to use, lifesaving skills that everyone should have regardless of whether they chose to carry a firearm or not. The first aid skills you learn in this course are applicable to more than just gun fighting and could be utilized for things like: hunting accidents, motor vehicle crashes, industrial accidents, hiking and out-door recreation related injuries, terrorist attacks, active shooter incidents, violent criminal encounters and any other incident where critical injuries could occur.

WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE SERIES

Women's Self Defense Series at the Defensive Action Center

CFC is proud to present the Women's Self Defense Series at the Defensive Action Center. This fun, interactive four part training program will focus on developing a warrior mindset, firearms safety / introduction to concealed carry techniques, weapon manipulation / employment and realistic self-defense scenarios utilizing UTM Non-Lethal Training Ammunition.

This course is perfect for any woman, age 14 or older and will help develop critical self defense skills. This four part training series will be conducted on the first four Monday's of September 2018. Each session will include two hours of hands on training by currently certified law enforcement or military instructors with years of experience in their respective fields. $125.00 per person for all four sessions or $50 per person per individual session.

Part 1: Mindset

The first session will focus on mindset and what it takes to win during a critical incident. A special guest female Law Enforcement Officer will discuss her experiences and students will be able to interact and ask questions and discuss some of the issues specific to women's self defense.

Part 2: Firearms Safety / Introduction to CCW.

The second session will focus on firearms safety both at home and while carrying. It will also provide hands on training on concealed carry options and techniques, specifically tailored to women.

Part 3: Firearms Manipulation.

The third session will focus on firearms manipulation. Students are encouraged to bring the firearm they intend to carry or are interested in carrying, we will also have a limited amount of demo firearms available to try out. We will discuss how to safely and effectively manipulate your firearm so you are familiar with it in the unlikely event it needed to be used in a self defense situation. We will also shoot UTM equipped Glock Pistols and work through various drills including, loading, unloading, reloading and malfunction clearance drills. UTM non lethal training ammunition is a completely safe alternative to live fire. It also has a lighter recoil and less noise than live ammunition when fired. Perfect for new shooters or those who haven't had positive experiences shooting in the past.

Part 4: Self Defense Scenarios.

The fourth and final session in this series will focus on employment of the skills learned throughout the month in realistic women's self defense training scenario. Each participant will get to experience a final scenario that allows them to work through various issues, including pre-attack indicators and situational awareness, simulated violent encounters and post engagement priorities. These scenarios will be safely conducted using experienced role players and will be designed to ensure a positive learning experience and outcome.
